It's busy at Web to Success! And the weather's not improving much. Still, while it's snowing I can catch up on my reading and create some new courses to keep up with all your questions. And when I'm not playing online or teaching, I do keyword research - which even after five years is still one of my favourite things to do. So today, we'll consider what keywords are REALLY good for (besides being bandied around by the SEO gurus).

What Keywords are REALLY Good For:
Finding the RIGHT Clients

Is your business attracting the right clients? Clients that need exactly what you're offering and that are at the point of making a buying decision? Or do you spend much time writing proposals and offers that are not accepted, explaining to potential clients what you do, and reinventing your services (and charges) for each new client?

If you could describe your business and services in a way that attracts the right clients at the right time... would you?

That's where keywords are so helpful. Someone looking for a new clutch will not search for MOT or car service, someone looking for help with a CV will not use 'recruitment' in their search.

By using the right keywords on your website and in your social media campaigns, you can attract clients who need - right now - exactly what you're offering.

So the next time you reach for a generic keyword when writing a blog post, tweet or FB update, ask yourself if that piece of writing will attract the RIGHT clients.

And if it doesn't, find a keyword that will. I'll promise you it's worth your time.
